Physics Bowl

The Physics Bowl is an international high school physics competition hosted by the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT). It is one of the most influential high school physics challenges in the United States, attracting tens of thousands of students from over 500 top schools in 11 countries each year. Since its introduction to China in 2015, the competition has been widely welcomed by domestic students. Its results are highly recognized when applying to top universities in the United States and around the world, especially as an important plus in science and engineering applications.
Core information of the competition
Host: American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT), which brings together numerous physics professors from top universities in the United States, ensuring the authority of the competition.
Eligibility: High school students of any grade level worldwide are eligible to participate.
Examination format: individual written examination, entirely in English, no experimental examination.
Exam duration and number of questions: complete 40 multiple-choice questions within 45 minutes.
Competition Level: The test paper contains a total of 50 questions. Candidates can choose to answer questions from one of two levels based on their grade and proficiency level.
